Why this manual? You might be wondering. There already exists a Heinkel factory manual from the 1960s. That's true, and that manual is fine, but it's not very clear, the layout is somewhat outdated, and it's not entirely complete. In a manual for a classic scooter, you also want solutions for testing things and for special tools that are harder to obtain. Personally, I prefer photos with explanatory text. A picture tells much more than long stories. It all started with my personal notes and research. I don't pretend to know everything about the Heinkel. I'm an enthusiast who has worked with a few Heinkels with the help of the original manual, forums, and lots of advice and tips from others. There are undoubtedly people who know even more about the Heinkel than I do. I also realize that opinions differ among Heinkel owners. Some want everything original, down to the last screw, while others use modern parts and build it to their own taste.
