With an infinite number of applications, SuperBond is the last adhesive you'll ever need to buy. SuperBond can be applied to almost any material or substrate that requires a bond. Perfectly suitable as an electrical insulating epoxy. Excellent electronic composite resin for pots with high dielectric strength with high resistance to high temperatures. Encapsulates computer boards and other electronic devices for protection. Use as a potting compound for pool lights. Easy to use. This material features a 1:1 mix ratio by volume (1 part epoxy to 1 part activator by volume). The material itself has a highly thixotropic paste-like consistency that hangs well in thick sections on vertical and overhead surfaces. The material can be used with any of our 3 activators, differing only in cure time. (Cure time can also be sped up with gentle heat up to 150F.) The material cures to a hard, blush-free, amber-colored plastic, which has good physical properties such as water and solvent resistance; high adhesive strength; and high dielectric strength for electrical insulation. With all adhesive type compounds, proper surface preparation is essential for good bond strength. Gel time: 30 to 45 minutes at 77F in a 1/2 pint mass, Shore D hardness cured: 75 to 80.
