JBL Professional Control 400 Enhanced Coverage Series represents the next generation of JBL’s acclaimed ceiling speaker portfolio. As the successor to the iconic Control 20 Series, the Control 400 Series features enhanced coverage, superior sonic performance, improved installation features, and a modern aesthetic. The Coplanar RBI™ (CRBI™) baffle design provides extremely consistent coverage, ensuring clear and pleasant sound across a wide coverage area. Full-face magnetic grilles provide a sleek and refined look that fits the aesthetic modern designers require, and accessory black and square grilles are available for each model. Enhanced terminal covers provide top and side cable entry ports and can be secured without tools thanks to captive hand-screws. The captive dogear design works with a wide range of ceiling thicknesses. All models include transformers to support both 70V/100V and low impedance applications. The Series is ideal for retail stores, corporate offices, education spaces, transit spaces, and any other application where a ceiling speaker with powerful performance and a refined look is desired. Control 424LP is a two-way coaxial ceiling loudspeaker, featuring a 4” woofer and a low-profile enclosure that is ideal for applications where ceiling plenum space is restricted. Integrated CRBI™ technology provides 130° of consistent, full, rich sound character that closely matches that of the Control 424C/T. A full-face magnetic grille blends seamlessly with modern decors and optional black and square grilles are available. Mechanical improvements include redesigned terminal covers with top and side cable entry ports and an extremely reliable new dogear design that works with a wide range of ceiling thicknesses. It reduces on-axis hot spots (where sound is too loud), and off-axis cold spots (where sound is too quiet) which improves the listening experience for users as they move throughout a space. This enhanced coverage results in fewer speakers, amplifier channels, and project costs, required to cover a space.
• Built-in 70V/100V multi-tap transformer for use in large commercial applications, plus 16-ohm direct input for use in smaller projects or residential.
